LORD SEND US THE HOLY SPIRIT

Luke 11:9-13

Truth: The Holy Spirit dwells in the believer. The Holy Spirit fills us and does God’s work. The Holy Spirit works when things are ready. Is the Holy Spirit working in you?

I. THE HOLY SPIRIT DWELLS IN THE BELIEVER

1. The Spirit revealed to you were lost. John 16:8; Acts 2:37
2. The Spirit worked repentance and faith in you. John 1:11-12; 2 Cor 7:10; Eph 2:8
3. The Spirit dwells in us at salvation. Rom 5:5; Rom 8:16, Eph 1:13

II. THE HOLY SPIRIT FILLS US AND DOES GOD’S WORK

1. The filling of the Holy Spirit comes from God. Acts 2:4; Phil 2:13; 2 Cor 3:5
2. The Holy Spirit does the work. John 16:13-15
3. The Holy Spirit empowers us to do God’s work. Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; 1 Tim 1:12; 2 Cor 12:9

III. THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKS WHEN THINGS ARE READY

1. When believers confess their known sins. 1 John 1:9, Psa 32:5
2. When believers remove anything doubtful from their lives. Rom 14:23
3. When believers are totally surrendered. Willing to say and do what the Holy Spirit tells us. Acts 4:8; Acts 4:31
4. When believers confess Christ openly.

IS THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKING IN YOU?
